Beginning today, OC Music Magazine will be publishing Wright Records Daily, a daily column giving you the inside scoop of what goes on in the world famous California Sound Studios and the artists they sign. CA SS has recorded artists such as Warren G, Snoop Dogg, Emminem, Micky Avalon, 98 Degrees, Korn, Outkast, Iron Butterfly, Motown, Boys II Men, Cashis, and will be recording both the Offspring and Pepper in January 2010. Throughout our tenure here we will be interviewing their award winning staff including producer and musician Ronnie King, whose made his mark on albums by 2pac, Snoop Dogg, Mariah Carey, The Offspring, NOFX, Rancid, Pennywise, Pepper and Warren G; Frank Wright, who has enjoyed a long career as Chicago?s lead guitarist; and many more.
Tomorrow I will be interviewing James Kottak of the Scorpians who has also wielded the sticks for Nut House, Mister Charlie, Buster Brown, Montrose, Kingdom Come, Wild Horses, the McAuley Schenker Group, Warrant, and Ashba. We?ll talk to him about his current tour with the Scorpians, as well as his latest project, Kottak, where he steps up as the band?s front man, letting Athena Bass?Tommy Lee?s sister?behind the kit.
